Together We Rise Minnesota is a public policy campaign organized by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and the Minnesota Budget Project to engage Minnesota nonprofits. The goal is to build the collective will to raise the state revenues Minnesota needs for sufficient and sustainable resources for a strong future for our communities. The campaign is nonpartisan and 501c3 compliant.
We, along with 65 organizations across the state, sent a letter to Minnesota policymakers asking them to ensure critical public services that Minnesotans count on are protected and expanded as the state responds to unprecedented federal funding cuts and harmful policy changes impacting the state as well as anticipated future budget shortfalls.
We are united in our call for state leaders to:
Take bold action to prioritize and protect Minnesotans’ health and economic well-being;
Ensure Minnesotans’ access to health care, food support, and other public services, regardless of their immigration status or other identities or circumstances beyond their control; and
Raise revenues, especially from those with the most resources, in order to replace lost federal funding, protect crucial services and meet Minnesotans’ needs.
We believe our elected representatives should address the fallout from the huge and harmful federal bill. Now is the time for shoring up and building the strongest foundation for Minnesota’s future.
The Together We Rise Leadership Council consists of a small group of nonprofit representatives who will help drive the strategy of the campaign, and provide capacity to ensure that the campaign can execute on our goals.

The Minnesota Budget Project is a research and advocacy organization that pursues policy solutions so that all Minnesotans can thrive, regardless of who they are or where they live. Established more than 25 years ago, the Minnesota Budget Project is a nonpartisan project of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
